This 3-manuaal instrument was built by J.C. Bishop & Son in 1877. We placed it in an unusual environment for organs: a large, newly built shopping mall “LaLaport” that is part of a completely redesigned port area near Tokyo Bay, Toyosu (JP). The instrument was played several times daily.

Unfortunately, this organ had been removed in 2011. It was ordered by the authorities to be removed because of stricter legislation on earthquake hazard (though even before the earthquake of March 2011). We have now placed the organ at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen (DK).
